Chemical Injection Skid

A Chemical Injection & Metering Skid (CIMS) is a fully integrated system designed for the precise dosing and injection of critical chemicals—such as corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, biocides, demulsifiers, and hydrate inhibitors—into process streams at controlled flow rates and pressures. These skids are vital in offshore and onshore oil & gas production, FPSO units, refineries, petrochemical plants, and water treatment facilities. Each system typically includes chemical storage tanks (SS316L, duplex steel, or HDPE), API 675-compliant metering pumps (diaphragm, piston, or peristaltic), flow meters (Coriolis, magnetic, or ultrasonic per ISO 5167/API MPMS), SIL-rated PLC/SCADA control systems, pressure relief valves (per ASME Sec VIII/API 520/521), and inline strainers and filters. Built for safety, reliability, and corrosion resistance, materials are selected based on fluid compatibility—ranging from carbon steel with epoxy/PTFE coatings to advanced alloys like 904L, Duplex 2205, and HDPE/PTFE linings. These systems comply with international codes and standards including ASME B31.3, API RP 14C/14E, ISO 10418, ISO 13703, and are certified by key classification societies such as ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, ClassNK, and RINA. CIMS used in hazardous zones meet ATEX/IECEx requirements (IEC 60079 series), NEC 500/505, and functional safety per IEC 61508/61511 with SIL 2/3 ratings. Additional standards addressed include NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for sour service, NORSOK M-001 for offshore materials, and MARPOL/IMO regulations for environmental protection.
